funDB - WerkD Funding Database

The European Research Council (ERC) is launching a new funding scheme, the ERC Plus Grant, designed to support exceptionally ambitious and transformative research projects. The program targets outstanding principal investigators from any country and at any career stage who aim to tackle major scientific challenges that go beyond the scope of existing ERC grants. Projects can be in any field and must be hosted by an institution in the EU or an associated country. Grants range from four to seven years with funding of up to 7 million euros. Due to the program’s high selectivity, only around 30 ERC Plus Grants are expected to be awarded each year. The call is expected to open on 02 June 2026. Quelle: Uni Leipzig, Dez. 1
